The Conroe ISD Natatorium is a 14-million dollar State-of-the-Art venue. The Natatorium is  a 16,007 square foot 65- meter aquatic area consisting of a world-class 50 meter competitive pool with constant  seven(7) foot deep water venue, warm-up lanes and,  a dive well featuring (4)1-meter and (2) 3-Meter DURAFLEX Olympic diving boards, a Warm-pool and drip showers for diving participants. The aquatic venue has a training-fitness center which features Pro-Maxima exercise equipment, a Pro-Shop just off the main lobby and a Concession Area on the second floor provides for participant or spectator needs and comforts.

The pool has a total volume of 921,424 gallons of water, which are circulated by (2) Aurora centrifugal pumps every 6 hours filtering and the water is cleaned by (4) NEPTUNE and BENSON horizontal high rate sand filters.  The sanitation is constantly monitored by dual CHEMTROL automated controllers.  This world-class natatorium can easily accommodate competitive swimming, diving, and water-polo programs in environmental comfort. Deck space is not a premium at the CISD Natatorium. The natatorium-pool is surrounded in excess of nearly 12,000 plus square feet of deck-space providing ample room for nearly 900 competitors in a single event in indoor-conditioned space.
The natatorium has two levels of lighting: one for training and one for competition. The training level exceed 50-foot candles to 75-foot candles and the competition level has 100-foot -candles to provide good uniform lighting and color value (color-corrected FHD) illumination at the deck/water surface. The natatorium features both Direct down lighting and reflective ambient lighting. Lighting design was created so that it does not cast shadows or create glare over the competitive course.

The two (2) fiberglass bulkheads feature state-of-art technology designed and constructed by STARK BULKHEADS Inc, of Washington, the leader in aquatic bulkhead technology, and leader in monolithic fiberglass technology. The bulkheads can divide the pool into three venues, with ease. The weigh of these bulkheads average 9,000 lbs when filled with water but, they can be easily moved into place by two people using only a shop-vacuum. The 65- meter pool can be divided into two (2) twenty-five (25)yard eight foot lane pools, or one (1) 50 meter course with eight (8) lanes nine (9)foot lanes. Each race-lane is a Competitor’s six-inch anti-wave lane-line and the racing starting block technology features sixteen (16) SPECTRUM’s Track-start side step starting blocks.

In addition to features such as bulkheads, race-lanes, and race-blocks which will provide the CISD Natatorium to configure into multiple venues for Interscholastic, Intercollegiate and International competitions the CISD Natatorium have dual-automated in-deck timing systems which feature the DAKTRONICS’ OmniSport 2000 timing consoles, electronic RC-100 wireless dive judging terminals and, strobe-start technology.  Additional timing modules will also provide ample back-up in the event of an in-deck failure without significantly delaying any competition. The scoreboard technology is also provided by DAKTRONICS and will feature ProStar video and Galaxy displays. The scoreboards have two locations, one for primary swimming competition and one for swimming and diving competition. The competition location is visible to all spectators, in the west comer of the facility facing the stands while the second faces directly into the grandstands on the northeast wall.

These and other features allows the CISD Natatorium to host two-competitions at a single time, reducing  the time needed to run larger competitions such as Regional, State or Sectional (Junior-National) events with ease.
The natatorium also provides for above the deck for pace clocks positioned 8-10 feet around the parameter of the pool. The ten (10) DAKTRONICS PC-2001 pace clocks feature seven (7) inch tall amber digits with synchronizing and programmable technology placed at each comer, parallel to the end wall of the pool, there will be great visibility for training where all swimmers can see them.
The CISD Natatorium’s standard features are combined with the pools anti-wave lane-lines it reduces water turbulence produced by swimmers allowing the water in any lane to remain flat creating little or no resistance to the swimmers speed. in total is built for speed.  Wave-quelling deck-level, concrete surge gutters minimize wave action and designed to absorb wave action making the pool faster by reliving surface tension.

The competitive features make the pool one of the fastest pools in the State. It has an average depth of 8.7 feet, State-of-the-Art water-recovery and return system, all of which was designed by The Aquatic Design Group of California, aquatic consultants.

When these features are combined with the pools anti-wave lane-lines it reduces water turbulence produced by swimmers allowing the water in any lane to remain flat creating little or no resistance to the swimmers speed.
The CISD Natatorium environment is maintained by a computerized system called “The NE Series”. Designed by SERESCO INC of Atlanta, Georgia, this high-tech environmental computerized system maintains water, air, and relative humidity to create a bather friendly environment, maintaining the pool at a comfortable 80 degrees while the space temperature is within two degrees. The pool’s system changes moisture from the pool and released into the air and converting it into heated water. This feature reduces heating-cost and limits condensation in the pool minimizing maintenance and reducing costly repairs due to rust and or corrosion common problems with Indoor pools.  The system is designed to supply .5 cubic feet of fresh air per minute for every square foot of pool and deck surface area when empty and an additional 15 to 25 cubic feet per minute of exchanged air for each person in the water, on the deck, or in the stands and capable of maintaining a relative humidity of 55 percent or less even when running at capacity while maintaining air temperature at two degrees above the water temperature. Finally a separate unit is designed to blow slightly cooler air on the fans in order to maintain comfort.
The sound system consultant was used to design the sound system. The natatorium system employs eight (8) high quality, oversized speakers designed for outdoor use and to run substantially below their maximum output in the pool area and three (3) slim-line speakers suspended directly in front of the grandstands to eliminate feedback and distortion.

The Aquatic Center training room features ProMaxima fitness training equipment providing strength training with low impact exercise opportunities to its shareholders.
